As the most accurate collision-detection technology available, VERICUT enables you to perform realistic 3D simulations of entire CNC machines, just like they behave in the shop. The software detects collisions and near-misses between all machine tool components such as axis slides, heads, turrets, rotary tables, spindles, tool changers, fixtures, work pieces, cutting tools, and other user-defined objects.

Composite Applications

Machine-independent off-line programming and simulation software for automated fiber-placement and tape-laying CNC machines consists of three components: VERICUT Composite Paths for Engineering (VCPe), VERICUT Composite Programming (VCP) & VERICUT Composite Simulation (VCS.

VCPe gives a composite part designer, mechanical engineer or process engineer access to the same software tools NC programmers use to create Automated Fiber Placement (AFP) NC program paths. Using these tools the part designer or engineer can easily create and experiment with various AFP path options and evaluate the effects AFP manufacturing has on a composite part’s design intent.

VCP reads CAD models of the layup tool and ply boundary information that defines the laminate or ply stack and creates motion paths that add material and fill each ply boundary according to the user’s engineering requirements and manufacturing standards. Layup motion paths are linked together in order to form specific layup sequences which are then output as NC programs for the selected automated layup machine.

VCS reads CAD models and NC programs, either from VCP or other composite layup path-generation applications, and simulates the sequence of NC programs on a virtual machine. Material is applied to the layup form via NC program instructions in a virtual CNC simulation environment.

VERICUT Drilling & Fastening

VERICUT Drilling & Fastening (VDAF) is a software application for simulating and programming auto-drilling & fastening machines. VDAF is independent of both the machine and CAD system.

When working with expensive airframe assemblies, the cost of drilling or fastening mistakes is high. How much time do you spend avoiding them?
